During the Seventh Remove of Mary Rowlandson’s captivity narrative The Sovereignty and Goodness of God, is a key passage in which one of Rowlandson’s Indian captors gives her a piece of horse liver for sustenance; an item she eats ravenously, despite her previous feelings of disgust at the standard Indian fare (81). The passage relates to the work as a whole due to its strong animalistic imagery...

A band is playing in our house tonight.
Out of Santa Cruz. Tetherhorse is their name, actually. I’ll give a review later. But I was expecting punk for some reason, and they’re folk. I’m pretty excited.

Protip:
Do not try to pick up one of the bricks forming a fireplace if you knock it over with your shoe. It will be hot, and it will burn your thumb horrendously. That is all.

Just biked back to my house.
I’ll be in such good shape after a few months of biking around Berkeley. Now listening to bluegrass off my laptop and planning the rest of my day. There’s an orientation tonight I have to go to, and then a Barbeque at Stebbins. I’m super stoked/excited/happy here.

The title of the achievement is the title above. I feel really sad that my Aunt who knows nothing about the cake being either a lie, or not a lie, is being hit with these types of tongue-in-cheek internet lulz and doesn’t get...

Bike Maintenance.
Wrapped my handlebars in new cork tape. Yellow. With the green bike. Chilling like Sprite. Readjusted my handlebar position. Hopefully this is a bit more comfortable. Took off the rear brake. I didn’t really use it, and it was in the way of a comfortable position for my front light. Tightened my front light so it no longer slips while riding. Moved it to the old rear brake position. ...
